Lea Brisbane, MA, LGPC (Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor)

 

Marlea (Lea) enjoys working with people of all ages, including children, teens, young adults, couples and families.  She earned her B.S. in Psychology and her M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Towson University. She is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC).


Lea completed her graduate internship and worked as a staff counselor with children and families at a community mental health agency. Lea works with anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, ADHD, behavior training, self-esteem challenges, navigating relationships, life transitions, and parent coaching. Lea has worked at 3 universities and is especially passionate about working with college students.  

 

Lea believes in using a person-centered and strength-based approach to therapy, and that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation to progress. Lea also incorporates techniques from other treatment modalities into her practice, including positive psychology, cognitive-behavior therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches. Lea appreciates using humor in her practice, and above all, enjoys connecting with people to help them grow and reach their goals.
